Courtyard by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Plantation PLANTATION

The reason we chose this hotel was because you could leave your car there on a trip for a couple of weeks, unlike most hotels which have no parking provisions or much shorter parking limits. Our car was safe & sound upon our return.

We stayed here as part of a park and cruise package - one night accommodations, delicious breakfast with a variety of options, courteous staff, and transportation to Port Everglades. Our room was wheelchair accessible. The taxi from Port Everglades back to hotel was $31.00 (without tip) The hotel is not as close to the port as other Marriotts but what they offer certainly makes up for that. When we checked in We were told that the shuttle to the cruise port no longer worked. We were told the breakfast in the morning was $15/pp. When we checked out and ask for a cab the desk person said we had a package and it included the free shuttle and free breakfast. We took advantage of the shuttle but it was to late for breakfast. I think the front desk people should be better trained.

Rhonda Welch, Assistant General Manager, said she would keep an eye out for our car - no problems. Sonia and Denise are excellent staff. The taxi from Port Everglades was under $29 without tip.
