Holiday Inn National Airport/Crystal City, an IHG Hotel ARLINGTON

We stayed one night to fly out early the next morning. We woke up to catch the 5:00am shuttle to the airport. Luckily we were one of the first people in the lobby in the morning, so we ensured we got on the shuttle. There were several people who were not able to get on the shuttle due to lack of seats. It might make sense for the front desk to ask if you are using the shuttle and what time you want to catch it to let people know there is limited seating.

The shuttle service to the airport was great. The facility also met our expectations

Black-out curtains in room were very effective, as I slept in much later than expected/planned, due to no natural light cues to wake up. Parking deck was a tight fit for my average size SUV. Also, exiting directions were not clearly given by front desk staff (to use parking-loaded room key in designated machine at exit; there were two machines at exit, one for parking ticket, one for room key), so there was some confusion and frustration about that process. Hair dryer in room did not function properly (heat, but no blowing air). Probably could\'ve turned it in a front desk for a functioning one, but didn\'t do so. I did turn it in upon check out, tho, so it could be replaced. Restaurant (O\'Malley\'s) food and service was good, even though we were there late in the evening.

Bed was very comfortable and clean.

Hotel room has all the necessary amenities but still stuck with shower-tub combination. Clean and efficient. Shuttle is not 24 hours but 4:30- 12 am. Parking is available but intense--narrow runways, several decks, sharp turns. Make sure your room key has parking loaded. Friendly and helpful staff.
