The hotel property was nice and the hotel and shuttle staff were very professional and polite. We were, however, charged $90 more than we were told the cost would be for staying at the hotel, being transported to and from the ship terminal, and parking our car in their parking lot while we were on the cruise. The paperwork we were supplied when we made our reservation said we had an amount due of $298.32 after paying our deposit of $23.91. The description seemed to be very clear: 1 night, 1 room, Post Cruise Package with Parking and Shuttle to Port Everglades. It followed up with "The remaining balance of approximately $298.32 (taxes included) must be paid to the hotel at check-in."
At check-in, we were informed that we were only getting a ride back to the hotel after the cruise and had to pay $30 for the trip to cruise terminal, and then there was also an additional charge posted for $60 for "Park Stay and Go Fee". Consequently, we ended up paying an additional $388.32 to the hotel, not the $298.32 that the agreement stated.
Again, we were very happy with the hotel property and parking, and all the personnel we dealt with were very nice and polite and helpful, so this complaint is no reflection on them but, rather, the additional charges that were tacked on to what seemed to be a pretty clear transaction. As we use Priceline regularly, we haven\'t ever experienced this sort of discrepancy between what we\'ve been told will be charged and the actual charge.
