Room was nice although I could smell a hint of cigarette smoke. Big suite with a couch and separate sleeping area. Bathroom small. Beds could use an upgrade as we found them springy and a little uncomfortable. Check in was fairly easy and whomever checked us in was polite. I booked a package that had breakfast provided , nothing was mentioned about this or any direction. Awesome cookies given on arrival…so yummy. We used the airport shuttle and he was on time. Pool open until midnight which is nice, Food at the lounge was really good and the server there was very friendly and attentive. The bad: We went to have the buffet breakfast in the morning, we were directed to the food and ate about half our meal when the waiter asked us for our vouchers. I told him we weren’t given any or provided information on this, although we did book with breakfast. He then told me that because we booked a third party they often lie about breakfast and we have to pay. He also mentioned that “ you also aren’t diamond members so that is another issue”I told him I would not pay and then proceeded to the front desk. The two ladies there were less than friendly. I explained the entire situation and also mentioned how the entire process was very confusing from even before checking in as we were told by another staff to cancel as they didn’t offer airport parking, even though I booked a package. I also was able to show them the reservation with breakfast mentioned. They reluctantly gave me the vouchers, At this point we had only been in the hotel for 9 hours and were leaving. Breakfast was okay. They did have fruit which was nice and hot plates but it wasn’t anything special. If you don’t have a voucher, it is about $23 per person USD to eat buffet. Extremely expensive. I am not sure I would stay here again, I hate the hierarchy of membership and being treated less than for not being part of this group. I am a Hilton member but was never asked for it on reservation or at check in. I have stayed at many other Hiltons and never treated this way before.
