outside is nice. Lobby is nice. People are nice. Room is NOT NICE. horrible pillows horrible mattress. blankets with holes in them. Dirt and cobwebs in the corners. Definitely would NOT STAY here again.

Overall Howard Johnsons by the Detroit Airport is a good place to park your car, very inexpensive, grab the shuttle and fly. I will say I preferred the rooms on the inside. They seemed cleaner and something about and outside door does not seem very safe to me although as busy as the hotel was, there were no issues. I would stay there again!
