Travel Safety Tips During The Coronavirus

These days are confusing days for us all. We are all self quarantining/putting ourselves in isolation. We wonder when and if we can travel again.

When we do travel, the CDC recommends the following:

  1. Avoid contact with sick people.
  2. Avoid touching your face, especially the nose, eyes and mouth with unwashed hands.
  3. Wash your hands with soap and water for about 30 seconds. If you cannot wash your hands, use alcohol-based hand sanitizer. Wash your hands after sneezing and coughing. Wash your hands before eating.
  4. Make sure your vaccinations are up to date and you should see if you have the recent flu shot.

If you are flying, make sure the airline has your current contact information. If there is a case of a passenger getting sick, they can contact you. If you are coming back from an international trip, here are some ideas to keep you and others safe.

  1. Stay at home. Try to work from home. Try to stay away from other people for about 14 days.
  2. Monitor yourself. Check and see if you have a fever 100.4 degrees or higher. Watch for trouble breathing or if you have a cough. If you have this, please contact your doctor.
  3. Stay approx. 6 ft from people in your house.

Some of our hotels are offering Corona-19 rooms. These hotels are being extra cautious for your health. They will offer you quarantine/isolation rooms and some cases offer test kits (if available) for the dates you request.
